How my story became our mission

It all started when…

I like to say my story is the same as anyone who leaves a job to start their own business. In my jobs, I identified inefficiencies as well as the experiences I wished my patients and I could have.

At the same time, it is probably true that most doctors have not had my experiences. My second job had three locations. I noticed that when the location was great and the space new, the office was not designed for the optimal flow of patients and doctors. I also worked part-time filling in for other doctors at many different office locations. Those experiences gave me the opportunity to observe and experience how a variety of practices treated patients and doctors through their physical spaces.

I started thinking about the ideal practice setting that would create a good experience for the doctor and patient. It’s well-known that a relaxed patient is a better patient. Likewise, a happy doctor leads to a better experience all around. So why do so many practices operate with inefficient design, unattractive and uncomfortable furniture, and old decor?

As I was thinking about these ideas, a colleague explained to me how the traditional square office just doesn’t work. It doesn’t create a good flow for patients or doctors. I also knew from colleagues that old models of office ownership often tied doctors to a space that wasn’t convenient for them.

I realized that I had to take a holistic approach to creating a better experience for everyone who enters a medical office. I needed to consider the doctor who didn’t want to take on the risk of a full-time lease, the comfort of the patient, the ergonomics of the exam room, the traffic flow of the space.

ForeSight Health is the result of years of observing, researching, and designing. From the walkability of the neighborhood to the ergonomics of the light switches, I’ve thought about every detail here. I even decided where the walls would go. This is the office I have always wanted to work in and I’m confident you’ll have an amazing experience here as well.

If you haven’t already, I hope you’ll take a virtual tour of the space.
